Phonology, as one of the branches of linguistics, studies phonemes in a language as how sounds are clustered to form language phonemes. The system of sequencing these phonemes, their influence on the neighboring sounds, is dealt with in this study. Koya and its suburbs, in Kurdish Language Sketch, are located within the central Kurmanji dialect which is Sorani. Koya Variety is surrounded by Khoshnawati, Garmiani, Hawleri and Sulaimani. For these reasons, it is the mixture of these varieties that provides Koya with some specific phonological phenomena.This research which is entitled ‘Some Phonological Phenomena of Koya Variety’ is a descriptive and empirical study which tries to investigate some phonological phenomena through the speakers of this variety in two parts. The First part under the heading of theory and principle, deals with the phonological aspect and phonological phenomena. It also sheds light on defining the areas where Koya Variety is spoken on Kurdish Language map. The second part is devoted to the practical aspect through analysis and explanation. Some phenomena as sound change, elision and assimilation, etc., are dealt with through examples of this Variety. They are compared to standard Kurdish to show points of similarities and differences. Finally, the most important results and points are presented.

زمان بڕبڕەی پشتی كۆمەڵگایە بۆ لە یەكترگەیشتن و ڕاپەڕاندنی كارەكانی ڕۆژانە، هەر كۆمەڵگایەك زمان و زاراوەی تایبەت بەخۆی هەیە. زمانی هەر میللەتێك بەسەر چەند شێوەزارێكدا دابەش دەبێت، بەتایبەتی زمانی كوردی، كە یەكێكە لەو زمانانەی بۆ چەند دیالێكت و شێوەزارێك دابەش بووە، هەریەكێك لەو دیالێكت و شێوەزارانە تایبەتمەندیی خۆیان هەیە و جیاوازن لەگەڵ دیالێكت و شێوەزارەكانی تر. ۆنۆلۆژیش وەک لقە زانستێکى زمانناسى، کارى دیاریکردن و دانەپاڵیەکى فۆنیمەکانى زمانە، بەوەى، کە هەریەک لە دەنگەکان چۆن دەچنە ڕێزى فۆنیمەکانى زمان و سیستەمى پێکەوە هاتنیان و کارلێک و کاریگەرییان لەسەر یەکترى، لێکدەداتەوە. کۆیەو (دەوروبەرى)، لە نێو نەخشەى زمانى کوردیدا، دەکەوێتە نێو دیالێکتى کرمانجى ناوەڕاست و لەنێو ئەو دیالێکتەشدا، بەشێکە لە شێوەزارى سۆرانى. کە کەوتۆتە نێوان کۆمەڵێک گۆڤەر، لەوانە گۆڤەرى خۆشناوەتى و گەرمیانى و هەولێرى و بابانى و بۆیە زۆرجار بە ناوچەى تێکەڵبوونى چەند شێوە زمانێک دادەنرێت. هەر ئەمەش واى کردوە کە چەند دیاردەو تایبەتمەندییەکى خۆى تێدا دەربکەوێت.
