The research carries the title of the Koya mosques (koy sanjaq) and its role in the scientific and cultural movement in Koya and Kurdistan. The scientific material of the research has been divided into three sections: The first is Koya mosques and its ancient and antique mosques. The second is the modern and the inhabited Koya mosques. The third is the role of Koya  mosques in the scientific and cultural movement in Kurdistan and Koya, and it turns out that there are four antique mosques and two ancient mosques, and (22) modern and inhabited mosques. It should be noted that the construction of mosques in Koya witnessed a standstill for the period from 1983 to 1999. Koya mosques played a special role in the cultural and scientific movement of Kurdistan and Koya, so there is no famous scientist in Koya did not brought up and studied in these mosques. The research concluded to mention the most important results and recommendations.

المساجد أجمل ما تقع عليها عين المرء في قرى كوردستان وقصباتها ومدنها ، وهي وعلى مرّ التأريخ لعبت أدواراً جمة في حياة الناس ، ففضلاً عن أنها كانت مراكز لتعلّم العلم ونشر الثقافة والأدب وتربية الأجيال ، فأنّها كانت مراكز اتصال بين أفراد المجتمع ، يلتقي فيها القريب والغريب والصديق والمناوئ بعض الاحيان ، كما كانت مأوى الانصار على طول مسيرة الحركة القومية الكردية. في هذا البحث تمت دراسة تاريخ مساجد كوية التي لعبت دوراً مهماً في التاريخ العلمي والثقافي لهذه المدينة، كانت هناك أربعة مساجد اندرست، كما وكانت هناك تكايا لعبت دوراً مهماً في الحياة الاجتماعية لسكان المدينة؛ كما وهناك مسجدان يعدان من أقدم مساجد المدينة، وهناك مساجد قديمة وعامرة الى اليوم، شهد بناء المساجد في الفترة من 1983م ولغاية 1999م توقفاً، وشهدت عملية بناء المساجد (19) مسجداً وجامعاًجديدا منذ (1999) وللوقت الحاضر.
