| 4. | Description | Abstract | The strategic location of Koya district at the foothills of the Zagros ranges to the west of the Lower Zab linked it with the mountains and the plains along the Lower Zab River. Moreover, it was surrounded by numbers of ancient cities; Shusharra (Shimshara) from the north east, Arrapha from the south east, and Urbilium (Erbil) from the west, moreover, in Koya region there where numbers of ancient cites as Shikshabum, Itu/Idu and Zaqqu.This paper deals with the discovered archaeological and cuneiform records in the Koya district, and the other ancient records which dealt with Koya district discovered elsewhere, in order to write a chronology for the ancient history and civilizations in this region, the author tries to use all the available archaeological and historical records. As a first attitude in understanding the rise of civilization and history of this region, it is kingdoms and cities. In this paper the author tries to deals with some research questions; what was the oldest known archaeological evidence in Koya district? When life began here? Who were who in Koya district in the ancient periods? What were the ancient cities and kingdoms in this region?

هەڵکەوتەی جوگرافی قەزای کۆیە گرنگییەکی تایبەتی پێ بەخشیوە(نەخشەی ژمارە ١ و ژمارە٢)، لەسەردەمە کۆنەکاندا ناوچەی کۆیە سەرەرێگەی پەیوەندەی نێوان شارستانییەتە جیاوازەکانی میسۆپۆتامیا و زاگرۆس بووە، نزیکی لە رووباری زێ و چەندین سەرچاوەی رووبار و وەرزە رووبار و کانی و کارێز لە سنوری کۆیە و، هەروەها کەوتبووە سەرەڕێی پەیوەندی نێوان چەندین شاری کۆن وەک شارە دێرینەکانی ئوربیلیوم (هەولێر) و ئاراپخا (کەرکوک) و شوشەڕڕا(شمشارەی دەشتی بتوێن)، ئەمانە بوونەتە هۆی ئەوەی کە بەدرێژایی سەردەمە کۆنەکان ژمارەیەک لادێ و شار و ئاوەدانی لەناوچەی کۆیە دەربکەوێت و وەک سەرە رێگەیەکیش بوو بۆ لەشکرکێشییەکانی ئاشورییەکان بۆ وڵاتی زاموا و میدیا و ماننا. ئەمە جگە لەوەی دۆزینەوەی شاری شیکشابومی شانشینی ئەخازوم و شاری ئیدو(لە شوێنەواری ساتوقەڵا) لە دەشتی کۆیە چەندین لاپەڕەی نەزاندراوی مێژوو و شارستانییەتی ناوچەی دەرخستووە.ئامانج لەم توێژینەوەیە خستنەڕووی ریزبەندی ڕەوڕەوەی شارستانییەت و مێژووی کۆنی کۆیە و دەوروبەرێتی لەژێر رۆشنایی نووسینە مێخی و بەڵگە شوێنەوارییەکاندا، توێژەر هەوڵدەدەت بە گەڕانەوە بۆ گشت تۆمارە مێخییە بەردەستەکان و بەڵگە شوێنەوارییەکان، لایەنە شاراوەکانی شارستانییەتی ناوچەکە دەربخات و رۆڵی ئەو شارستانییەتە لە پەیوەندی لەگەڵ شارستانییەتی میسۆپۆتامیا و زاگرۆسدا و، ریزبەندی مێژوویی شانشین و هەرێمەکانی ناوچەکە، مێژووی سەرهەڵدانی لادێ و شارەکان و وێرانبوونیان و ناوی ئەو گەل و هۆزە کۆنانەی کە لە ناوچەی کۆیە و دەوروبەریدا ژیاون و لە نووسینە مێخییەکاندا تۆمارکراون بەپێی ریزبەندی مێژووییان بیانخاتەڕوو.
